The Mayflower Society (GSMD)
Our headquarters in Plymouth, Massachusetts, began in 1897 and has over 30,000 members. It grants memberships through 54 Mayflower societies — all 50 United States, Washington D.C., Canada, Europe, and Australia. The General Society of Mayflower Descendants provides education and research on the Pilgrims and their descendants, and publishes the Silver Books. The Society joins people who share this heritage, thus carrying on the legacy of our ancestors.
California Mayflower Society
The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of California, Inc., established in 1907, has 2,579 members distributed throughout fourteen colonies. The Oakland headquarters library caters to those seeking membership. Apply through the state, not The Mayflower Society in Plymouth (Webinars). Sequoia Colony
Sequoia Colony is one of fourteen California colonies, and has 215 members. It is an educational non-profit organization in Silicon Valley, founded in 1972. Lunch Meetings (in March, June, and November) feature topics of historical interest. March meetings are combined with the San Francisco Peninsula Colony.
